Today, we'd like to introduce the features and lineup of the METASPIRA cables available on our e-commerce site.
The METASPIRA (ˈmɛtəˌspaɪrə) cable is a custom cable that aims to blend industrial design with modern aesthetics, characterized by its handcrafted production in Japan. The name is a portmanteau of "Metal" and "Spiral".
Our METASPIRA cable lineup consists of four series, each manufactured based on a specific design philosophy.
- METASPIRA DENSE
The DENSE series uses fine-pitch stainless steel springs as a protective sleeve, combining an industrial look with a modern feel. This series balances moderate weight with ease of handling for the cables. -
METASPIRA HUE
The HUE series achieves a contemporary design by pairing MDPC-X's brightly colored sleeves with wide-pitch springs, making it suitable as an accent for desk environments. - METASPIRA XXX
Currently in the design phase, the XXX series plans to offer a more striking impression by combining painted springs with MDPC-X’s vibrant color sleeves, aiming for a more impactful design than the HUE series. - METASPIRA LUX
The LUX series aspires to be METASPIRA's premium line, with plans to design connectors that are both elegant and sophisticated. Like XXX, the LUX series is currently under development.
It's important to note that the METASPIRA cable lineup differentiates by design, not by the type of cable. For example, an L-type TRRS cable in the METASPIRA DENSE series is named "METASPIRA DENSE TRRS Cable, L-Type", and a USB-C cable in the METASPIRA HUE series is named "METASPIRA HUE USB-C Cable".
Currently, we are only manufacturing TRRS cables, but there are plans to expand into USB-C and audio cables in the future. We hope you enjoy the fusion of functionality and design with our METASPIRA cables.
